This Privacy Policy explains how VirtuGrid, LLP ("VirtuGrid," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit virtugridusa.com or virtualpowerplantusa.com (the "Site") or request a home battery and energy assessment.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you complete our eligibility check or assessment request, we collect your name, email address, phone number, home address, ZIP code, and your answers about your home (such as whether you own it, your area/utility, and where a battery could be placed).
Communications preferences. Whether you have consented to receive calls and text messages from us.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our web host receives standard technical information when you visit. Such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested, to deliver and secure the Site. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies.
Preferences stored on your device. If you use the accessibility options on our homepage (such as text size or high contrast), your choices are saved in your own browser so they stay set on your next visit. That setting is not sent to us.

How we use your information

To determine whether your home is eligible and to prepare your assessment.
To contact you about your assessment, the program, and related offers by phone, email, or, if you have opted in, text message.
To operate, improve, and secure the Site and our services.
To comply with legal obligations.

Text messages and calls

If you opt in, we (and providers acting on our behalf) may send you calls and text messages, including by automated technology, about your assessment and related offers. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. See our SMS Terms for details. Mobile information is not shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

With service providers and program partners. Such as SOLRITE (the program VirtuGrid is an independent sales partner for), the licensed retail electric provider, battery supplier, and installers. Who need it to evaluate eligibility and deliver the program you requested.
With technology providers that help us host the Site and manage your request, such as our website host, customer-management software, and the AI provider that powers the website chat (Anthropic).
When required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Website chat

The Site has an optional chat assistant that answers questions using artificial intelligence (Claude, provided by Anthropic). It is an automated assistant, not a person, and it can make mistakes; your advisor confirms everything in writing. What you type in the chat is sent to Anthropic to generate replies. Anthropic processes it for us under its commercial terms, which do not allow it to use the conversation to train its models. The conversation is kept in your browser tab and clears when you close it.

If you ask us to contact you through the chat and agree to calls and texts, we save the details you give (such as your name, phone, ZIP code and email) and a short summary of the conversation in our customer-management software so an advisor can follow up, and we use them as described in this Policy. Please don't share sensitive information, such as account or Social Security numbers, in the chat.

Cookies, analytics, and fonts

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies on the Site. The Site's fonts are delivered by Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers to load them, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this Policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Do Not Track. Because the Site does not track you across other websites, it does not change its behavior in response to browser "Do Not Track" signals. We do not allow other companies to collect information about your online activities over time and across websites through the Site, apart from the font request to Google described above.

Data retention and security

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services and for legitimate business or legal purposes, and we use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices

You may request to access, correct, or delete your information, or ask us to stop contacting you, by emailing info@virtugridusa.com. To stop texts, reply STOP.

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above shows when it was last revised.
